We have each other. And that's a lot! 🩵
Dear Neighbors,
This past week has been an emotional one, and it’s important to remember: we are all still the same people we were before Election Day. So let’s be kind to ourselves and to each other as we move forward.
In times like these, it’s easy to feel isolated, but please know that you are never alone. Take a moment to step outside if you can, breathe in fresh air, and reconnect with nature. Hydrate, rest well, and reach out to the people who matter to you. The simple things, like exercise (physical or mental) and staying connected, help keep us grounded and resilient.
Let’s also resist the pull to isolate ourselves—instead, let's dig into a favorite hobby, volunteer, or spend less time on screens to enjoy more real-world experiences. These choices matter, and so do you. If you’re feeling the weight of the moment, remember we’re all in this together, supporting one another.
On that note, I’d love for you to join me at the 48th Ward Dems meeting on Thursday, November 21st.
Ben Head, co-founder of Operation Swing State, will be giving us an update on the recent election and what’s ahead. It’s a chance to come together, share thoughts, and focus on how we keep moving forward as a community.
When: Thursday, Nov 21 from 6:30-8pm
Where: All Meal Prep at 1100 W Bryn Mawr (map)
RSVP here.
I am so proud of the work we have done together, regardless of the outcome of last week's election. We are stronger together and we won't stop fighting.
Take care of yourself, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support or if there’s any way we can help each other in these times.
In Solidarity,
Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth
48th Ward Alderwoman and Democratic Committeewoman
