Election Day Information

map showing school board boundaries in the 48th ward

The 48th ward is usually in the top 5 for best voter turnout in the city and our goal is to be #1! So spread the word about voting and let's see if we can achieve that goal!

Here in the 48th ward, our local Early Voting location is the Broadway Armory at 5917 N Broadway (map) but you can vote at ANY Early Voting location in the City of Chicago through to Election Day. So if it's easier to vote near your school or work and those are outside the ward, drop in and get it done!

Looking for a sample ballot?Go here to the Chicago Board of Elections website.

It can often feel like our votes "don't matter" here in Illinois, but there are plenty of local races that we need to turn out for, including Cook County State's Attorney, Cook County Clerk, our first ever elected School Board. In the 48th ward, we are divided into School Board districts 2 and 4. You can see the boundaries of those districts on the 48th Ward office bloghere.

And, of course...many, many judges.  If you are looking for a guide on how to vote for judges, check out Injustice Watch, where you can also create a ballot to take to the polls.

If you'd like a paper copy, drop by the 48th Ward Dems office at 1125 W Bryn Mawr on Saturday between 10am-2pm.
